pastels and prettiness

First of all, sorry once again for my lack of updates! Yet another busy week full of work and assignments leaving my with little time for much else. Uni and a part time job definitely leave the other aspects of my life as a bit of a juggling act!

So I booked my holiday with my fiancé's family earlier in the week and am headed to Greece for a blissful seven days come September. I'm so excited and there's still half a year to go yet! I went to Greece last July and it's such a beautiful country with such a rich and colourful history. The pictures I took while I was there are some of my favourites and it was probably my favourite place that I've visited up to now. I thought I'd share a few shots with you from the last time I was there:

I realise my vacations snaps are hardly fashion related, but looking back over these pictures makes me excited at the prospect of a summer wardrobe - how nice it will be to be able to wear dresses and shorts without tights and jackets! Here are some bits I'm hoping will appear in my suitcase come September:

These things would make my holiday that little bit more perfect!

Other than that, I saw some pictures from a premiere in New York and immediately fell in love with one of the dresses.

Dakota Fanning in Elie Saab - lucky her! I love the colour and shape and the beading just finishes it off perfectly. I think this is the perfect dress - just the right amount of femininity without being overpowering, and I love the sweetheart neckline. Gorgeous!

Though I wish I were posting a picture of myself in some gorgeous Elie Saab creation, here I am in yesterday's outfit:

This dress is my most recent bargain at £12 from New Look - not a store I venture into all that often, but I spotted this and loved the floral pattern and soft colours. I wasn't sure about it when I tried it on, but I've decided to give it a chance. I've been wanting to try out white tights for ages, so here I am sporting a pair I picked up in Dorothy Perkins - some may say my legs are white enough that I needn't have bothered with the tights, but pale is interesting... Right? I'm wearing my favourite blazer once again - sorry, I know I wear it far too much but it just goes with everything!

I will update again soon, promise!

Blazer: Topshop, Dress: New Look, Tights: Dorothy Perkins, Shoes: Miss Selfridge
