bits and bobs...

So today has been rather non-productive as I've managed to pick up a really horrible flu-like virus, so I don't feel like doing much! I got wrapped up earlier and went out to pick up a few things, but I'm feeling so groggy and sick that I spent most of the day doing my favourite thing - curling up with a ton of magazines and drinking myself into a Starbucks-induced sugar coma!

While I was out, I spotted a gorgeous faux leather jacket on sale for £20 - I do love a bargain! I've been on the hunt for a cropped grey leather jacket for ages and almost bought one for £70 last weekend in Topshop - I'm so glad I waited: apparently patience does pay off after all! I'll more than likely wear it at some point over the next few days should I happen to feel well enough to venture out again.

A store I'm really loving at the moment it Cos - they do some amazing pieces that look really expensive and well made, but their prices are a bit more purse-friendly than your average designer. Here are a few of my favourite looks from their collection:

What I love about Cos is that their pieces are so simple and clean - everything looks crisp and fresh, nothing is too flamboyant or over the top, yet their clothes still stand out. I particularly love the black coat, the yellow skirt and the simple blouses.

Another look I'm seeing a lot of at the moment is the utility trend - I never thought of myself as a cargo pants and khakis kind of girl, but it's a trend which I would definitely call a 'grower'. I'm currently drawn to all manner of military style pieces when browsing online or wandering through stores. Here are some bits I really love:

Oh and before I forget - for those who asked in my last post - my shorts can be found at Warehouse and my blazer was from Topshop, but they're out of stock now, although there's something similar in pale grey. The yellow romper can be found Loeffler Randall and the little floral clutch was from ASOS.

No outfit pictures today as my camera is on the blink, but I'll be posting again shortly!

not so much on the trousers
